Final Four LTA Round Up

I was initially going to start this off by talking about whats been going on and where the hell my blogs have been all season but I wont waist your time with my problems. But I will thank you for stopping by this time and for what I hope will be an intriguing enough piece to have you come back for more. Enough with the nonsense! Lets talk LTA!
The regular season has come to an end and as always in this league it did not disappoint. We had a few surprises along the way but again that is typical of this awesome hobby we call LTA. So many injuries, suspensions, protests, and just about anything that could negatively affect our fantasy football world took its course in 2017. It's been a longer ride than I can remember of any other year but hell, maybe I'm just getting old. Either way, we're currently walking into the second round of the playoffs where we have the 2016 defending champion Mobile Bay Soldiers (Travis 9-4), The Bombers (Marc 8-5), The Regulatorz (Allen 7-6), and my Warriors (Scott 8-5) holding the final four spots in the 2017 LTA playoffs. Any of these teams are capable of taking the title home. Travis and Marc have owned the top 2 spots most of the season and will be the favorites to make the championship game.
Of course I like the Warriors chances against a Bombers team that limped into the playoffs with a recent lack of production from Kareem Hunt. Despite Hunt having a great game last week against a depleted Raiders team, he simply has not been the bell cow he was early on in 2017. The Bombers also have Blake Bortles leading the team at QB. I think it's ironic that Bortles always seems to find his way to winning teams in this league. Wasn't Bortles on the 2016 champs team? I'll have to look that up. It's amusing being that Bortles is just not a good QB. Yet he consistently helps folks win fantasy championships. TRASH YARDS!!! But hey, It's all about those POINTS no matter the how or the why. On the flip side the Warriors have been winning with great QB play through Russell Wilson and Carson Wentz (grabs tissue), Baldwin and Hopkins getting it done at WR, Gronk and Kelce at TE/FLEX, with a plethora of guys available for the 2nd FLEX spot with guys like Burkhead and Goodwin. This match up will be awesome no matter the outcome. At least for everyone but the loser. Which is why I give the upper hand to Marc. He's been here a lot more than I have. I do not see him falling this week. It will be epic though. I assure you.
On the other side of this madness we'll see the most electrifying rivalry LTA has ever had and ever will. Allen takes on Travis in round two and as always will end in dramatic fashion. These two guys always bring the heat and want nothing more in fantasy than to see the other one lose. Especially when they see the other ones name across the page on that weeks match up. These guys have been back and forth for years and I know this week will be no different. They have already seen each other twice this season. Allen's Regulatorz took the season opener but Travis' Soldiers would get their payback in week 10. Now we get ready for the tie breaker folks. Oh the joy of knocking the other out of the playoffs and playing for The TOM (LTA Championship trophy). I'm giving the edge to Travis because he clearly has had the better season and on paper has the better team. But don't take that the wrong way folks, I think Allen wants this one more than he's willing to admit. Travis put his fantasy career on the line in that week 10 match up and bet to retire at seasons end if he lost to Allen. Travis got that win so he'll be back. Regardless of how many times he quits between now and August (Typical) . Bottom line! I think Travis gets the last laugh again this week but Allen WILL go down swinging. I can NOT wait to see how this one works out. It's almost as fun as watching the Iron Bowl. OK not really...But I love it.
