Let me first say thank you to all of you guys for coming out. It was an absolute blast as always to have you guys over. We had a rough patch or two this year but things worked out. You guys are AWESOME! AND THANK YOU FOR BRINGING THE GRUB!!!! The drafts are over. The boards are all taken down and the commissioner has loaded the teams. A few folks have even found the waiver wire and started making moves. You can take a look over on our Faction page to catch a glimpse of how the draft unraveled. But here I'm going to break down each team and give my thoughts on how things look post-draft.

We had a few new players this year and even one NO SHOW (another blog for another time) but I was lucky to have one of the guys in early for the next draft so he was nice enough to join our league. A special thank you to Sam and Doug for joining us last minute. These two gentlemen have been playing in my leagues for over a decade. But I had a few new faces this year. Franklin, Tyrone, and Corey were all new to the league and new to me. So not really knowing how they draft and what their likes and dislikes are are kind of a big deal in fantasy drafting. Going in you like to know your guys. But it was interesting for sure. I thought all 3 rooks drafted well. Franklin had the #3 over all pick. He selected DeVonte Freeman in the 1st then Greg Olson in the 2nd. Keep in mind he's a rook. He drafted really well in the middle of the draft which is why I'm so interested to see how he manages this team. Tyrone had an excellent start on draft night. He had the #6 over all taking Adrian Peterson at the 6 spot then Deandre Hopkins in the 2nd round. He'd follow that up with three top WR's in Jordy Nelson, Keenan Allen, and Jarvis Landry. Great draft Tyrone! I look forward to seeing how this rook does this year. He definitely did his homework. Corey is the last rook of this bunch. I met Corey right after last years draft and he was in a league of his own so we shared fantasy advice throughout the 2015 season. I was thrilled to get him in here this year. Corey had the #9 pick and let me tell you, he wasn't too happy about this pick going in but he sure did make the best of it. Corey took Gronkowski in the 1st then A.J Green in the 2nd. He came back in the 3rd with C.J Anderson. I thought he did an excellent job playing the board and had a few great picks in the middle rounds as well. These rooks did great for their first live draft in The Red Zone Faction. I'm proud of you guys. Now work those waivers!

Now on to the vets of the league. Long timers like Jeremiah had a great start picking at the 5 spot. J took Antonio Brown in the 1st then Aaron Rodgers in the 2nd. That's one hell of a start. He followed up those picks with three straight RB's in Hyde, Langford, and Gordon. Nicely done Jeremiah. Bert had the #1 over all pick. He's been saying since May he was taking Gurley and he stuck to his word. Gurley in the 1st then Eddie Lacy in the 2nd. He'd come back in the 3rd and take Russell Wilson. I think Bert is set up great this year. I'd expect nothing less than playoff run from him as usual. Doug came in short notice but was in this league last year. He'd have the #2 pick. Doug started with Cam Newton, then kind of a shocker with Thomas Rawls. I thought it was a little early for him but I've been wrong more times than right. He could be Beast Mode version 2. So we'll see. I thought Doug had one of the best "middle of the draft" selections. If he plays his cards right, no way he doesn't make the playoffs. Sam was the other last minute manager that unfortunately had the #10 pick. But like Corey he would make the best of a tight situation. Sam took Le'Veon Bell in the 1st then on the swing would take Lamar Miller. These were absolutely great picks. Sam would have to wait another 19 or so picks before he would be back on the clock. He'd take two great WR's in Demaryius Thomas and Amari Cooper in those next two rounds. I think Sam probably had one of if not the best draft in this league over all. Winston had the #8 over all. He'd take Julio Jones in the 1st then Jamal Charles in the 2nd. He'd come back in the 3rd and select Allen Robinson. Three great picks. In the 4th he drafted Dion Lewis. Which is having knee surgery today. So we'll see where that goes. Dustin came in with the #7 pick. He'd start off with Odell Beckham Jr. in the 1st, then Doug Martin in the 2nd. Then he'd go homer pick in the 3rd round with Dez Bryant. But getting Dez in the 3rd round is a steal. And I'm an Eagles fan saying that. Dustin had a pretty good top half of a draft. He has some questionable middle round picks but at this point it could go either way. I had the #4 spot again this season. I took David Johnson in the 1st, Ezekiel Elliott in the 2nd, Mark Ingram in the 3rd, and Lesean McCoy in the 4th. After getting my QB Roethlisberger in the 5th, I came back and got my WR's in Sammy Watkins and Brandon Cooks in the 6th and 7th. I'm feeling really good about my draft in this league but so does everyone else at this point.

That's the greatest part about this time of year. Everyone had great drafts. Now we all just sit, wait, and hope no one (on our team) gets injured. It's all down hill from here boys. I wish everyone good luck and I can not WAIT! for the season to begin. Guys make sure you check the site for match ups week 1. I know I'll be going head 2 head with Corey this week. Let's make those trash talk videos and get them in. If they make the cut I'll post them here on the site! For you guys reading, if you'd like to keep up with us join us over on the PODCAST page for scores, standing, and hopefully some trash talk videos! That's all for today. Please give us a LIKE and a SHARE before you go! Ya'll have a blessed day!
