WEEK 1 IS IN THE BOOKS!

The first week of the NFL is in the books and that can only mean one thing. Who won your fantasy league? Ah yes. Overreaction at its best on the Tuesday after week 1. Some yelling championship while others reach for the pillow to hide their tears in fear of another losing season. Yes, Week 1 is undoubtedly the craziest week of the season. By Wednesday night you've had to time to reflect, gather your thoughts and prepare for week 2. The Red Zone Faction FFL is no different and very unpredictable. In fact, the team I thought had one of the best drafts (Purple Knights) had the low score of the week

(85.5) and the team I thought had a not so great draft (Team Pham) finished with the highest points for the week (181.5). Behind Andrew Luck (48.1) Team Pham lead the week in points in the RZF with a win over Team Kennamer (127.3). I'll be honest. I did not expect this outcome in this match up. I thought Team Kennamer would not only win but win with ease. Boy was I wrong.

The Dream Killers finished second in points this week (179.3) against All-Stars (128). Like Team Kennamer, the All-Stars have nothing to hold their heads down about at they would have beaten just about half the league this week. They both just so happened to be playing the two highest scorers of the week. I was lucky enough to be on the winning end. I've been on Corey's end more times than not. DeAngelo Williams was the nail in the coffin. He had a monster game in the early game Monday night against the Washington Redskins (41).

The Silverback finished with the bronze this week in points scored (162.5) against Team Dirty (129.5). Aaron Rodgers led the Back to a solid victory over a team again, that would've contended with a lot of other teams this week. The Back just had a steady dose of Rodgers and those guys in the flex (Fuller & Hyde) doing the work.

V.T.K.A. finished with 141.3 points (4th in points) behind Spencer Ware (34.5) and Amari Cooper (21.5) against The Dispensers (91). Not much to say about this one. Moving on quickly.

The Bellringers scored the same amount as Team Dirty (129.5) but unlike Team Dirty, he was able to pull off a victory. The Purple Knights were only able to muster up 85.5 points this week (League low) so the Bellringers were able to slide by easily in Week 1. Nothing else to add about this game. The last two games here were lousy to say the least. I'm hoping for better in week 2.

On to week 2 we go! I will give my predictions here for the week 2 match ups in RZF FFL.

  • Dispencers (Rivers/OBJ) over Team Dirty (Newton/Forte)

  • All-Stars (C.J. Anderson/A.J.Green) over Purple Knights (A.Peterson/D.Hopkins)

  • SilverBack (A.Rodgers/A.Brown) over Team Pham (L.Fitzgerald/M.Ryan)

  • Dream Killers (D.Johnson/D.Williams) over Team Kennamer (D.Brees/J.Jones)

  • V.T.K.A (S.Ware/A.Cooper) over Bellringers (T.Gurley/D.Murray)

Good luck to all this week (excluding Winston of course) and I'll be here next week to give my thoughts on how week 2 went down and how week 3 feels getting ready for the bye week troubles to come. God Bless and have a great Wednesday.
