Week 4 is here and that only means one thing. Bye weeks. Up til now, unless you've had injury issues, you've been a rock star. Yeah, It's hard to mess up the first 3 weeks of a fantasy football season. Week 4 is where we separate the men from the children. The vets usually start to pull away and the rookies start to fall. Though It's not always that way. I've seen rookies flourish from here. It's happened. Just understand that it is rare. Think smart and don't over think. I know that sounds weird but that is exactly how you should go into week 4. Now lets go see where we are in The Faction...
The Bellringers had the All-Stars in week 3. The Ringers would get the win here but I can't help but feel bad for the Stars. Once Gronk (and Brady) returns the Stars will be a factor. I'm not taking them lightly. Good win for the Ringers taking them over .500 and setting them in the 4 spot this week. As for the Stars, they sit at 6, a game under .500 and take on Team Dirty week 4. I REALLY look forward to this game. I think these two are very similar. I'm giving the Stars the slight edge because I think the duo of Gronk/C.J Anderson may get the job done. Anderson did not get it done last week. So we'll see. Stars in a VERY close game. Good luck you two!
Team Dirty went up against VATKA in week 3 (These two guys faced each other in two different league. Same outcome. Poor Doug. Much love). VATKA took take of business as usual. Dirty had issues with Jeffery and Witten let the Dirty down last week. Period. (That Eagles defense tho...;) ). VATKA has Team Pham week 4. I want to see how Team Pham responds after this loss. The first two weeks they were blowing their opponents away but week 3 took a beating by the second lowest scorer of the week. All time lousy game. So lets see how Team Pham responds as they get set up for VATKA. And by the way, I'm taking VAKTA for the win but I'm pulling for Team Pham. Get it done PHAM!
Week 3 brought us probably the worst game I've ever witnessed. The Dispensers beat Team Pham 124 - 113. These were the two lowest scores of the week so all of the losers in all the other games would've had victories had they played these two this week. Shame on these guys. Terrible outings this week by both teams. The Dispensers take on the Silverbacks this week and I know the Backs are looking to get back to .500 after losing a tight one in week 3. They'll get there. Backs easy in week 4.
As I just stated the Backs lost a close one week 3 against the Dream Killers. Both teams left a lot of solid points on the bench and could have made better decisions going in. But the Killers got it done and keep the #1 spot while the Backs fall to #7 in the standings and one game under .500. The Killers take on the Purple Knights in week 4 and I don't see enough from the Knights to make me think this goes any other way. The Killers win here and remain in the top spot pending points with VATKA. Both VATKA and Killers will be 4-0 going into week 5.
The Knights took on Team Kennamer in week 3 and I thought this game would be closer. It did come down to a ten point difference but it never felt that close. As I stated in last weeks notes, Team Kennamer has work to do. They are currently sitting in the #10 spot and I don't see that changing after week 4 when they take on the Ringers. The Ringers are coming off a solid win in week 3 against the Stars and I see they made a few great pick ups off waviers this week. Kennamer is in trouble. 0-4 is hard to come back from. But it has been done.
So that is my thoughts on The Faction going into week 4. I wish everyone luck and I'll see you guys on the other side. I'll be in Tuscaloosa this weekend so I wont be on the site much but you can always reach me on facebook and through text. You guys have a blessed weekend.
Your favorite Commish,
-Scott
