Hello again, on a Tuesday Morning that brings us to a new week in fantasy football as we wave goodbye to week 4. A quarter of the season in and I can already see some separation within the standings. As I predicted going into week 1 the guys that are currently in the top 3 are right were I thought they'd be. Pham has been a surprise thus far but hes on a two game skid. I look to see what he does from here. OK, lets get to the games...
The Killers had the Knights this week. Going in I didn't think the Knights had much of a chance. They did put up a good fight on Sunday afternoon but come Sunday evening it would all be over for the Knights. Big Ben shattered the Knights with 5 tds and 300 passing yards. OUCH! Manning would play for the Knights Monday night but the numbers were just too high. The Knights will get back on track in week 5 as they take on Dez. I firmly believe Dez is done. I'm not even sure they did their lineup this week... Nor will they read this so they wont know I'm calling them out. HA! Knights get an easy one this week and get back one game under .500.
Dez got shellacked by the Backs this week. 99 point difference. I'll keep this more about the Backs putting up good numbers this week. "Padding the stats" if you will. A win and solid points for the Backs. And it gets them back to .500. Of Course he'll have a very tough time staying there after this week because the 4-0 VATKA are coming to town and I honestly don't see them losing. I'll be keeping an eye on this score as the weekend goes on for sure. Who knows... Could the Backs be the first to knock down VATKA? I'll be honest... I hope so.
VATKA took on Pham in week 4 and took him down a peg or two. VATKA has been steam rolling though this league. Pham got off to a great start going 2-0 with very high points. But the last two weeks they've been on the down end. I think it's possible he can get one back this week against Dirty. This match up could go either way but Pham is going to need luck on his side because I really like Dirty's team this week. Just another game I'll be paying much attention to.
Week 4 brought us Dirty @ The Stars. The Stars are a team on the rise. They've managed to get two out of four wins WITHOUT they're first round pick doing much of anything at all. That all ends now because that first round pick gets his QB back this week. Anyway, this game did not turn out to be the game I thought it would be. Injuries and no big points by anyone played a factor in Dirty's loss this week. His team will be fine and I believe he'll squeeze into the playoffs but he's going to need some help down the stretch. The Stars take on Kennamer this week. My prediction: Stars by a mile. Kennamer's team is just not producing. Even Julio having a 300 yard game only netted him 105 points. And the Stars will have Gronk at full force. Look out for the stars. I know I am.
Kennamer had the Ringers last week. The Ringers were able to put up the leagues 4th best score of the week (135) and that was plenty enough to get that victory over Kennamer. The Ringers are currently sitting in 3rd place at 3-1 and have the Killers coming to town. GAME OF THE WEEK! As the owner of the Killers I can assure you I am NOT taking this weeks match up lightly. I consider the Ringers contenders and I know they will be there at the end as well. I'm not predicting this game because I honestly have no idea how this one will turn out. Could go either way.
So there's my state of the Faction for week 5. Check out my week 5 pick ems and leave me your thoughts on my picks and give me yours! Have a blessed week and see y'all on the grind!
