After 6 weeks we can already start to see things shaping up for the playoffs. We had a few great match-ups in week 6 and things looks similar in week 7. So lets talk about it...
Our first game we saw the Killers at VATKA in what I think are two of the toughest teams in the Faction. Killers got the dub 187.5 to 126 with the Killers having FOUR players hitting bonus. The Killers needed a big game against a tough respectable opponent and they got it. These two will see each other again in the playoffs. I look forward to it. But as it stands this victory takes the Killers to a 6-0 record. As for VATKA they move to 4-2 and have the All-Stars coming to town this week. I really like the All-Stars and think they CAN match up well against VATKA. But I know that loss to the Killers left a sour taste in VATKA's mouth so I fully expect them to come out with guns blazing. VATKA wins a close on. But it won't be easy.
The All-Stars had the Silverbacks in week 6 and this was one I kept an eye on. I picked the Backs to win but WOW was I wrong. The All-Stars won 155-96.5 and it really wasn't even that close. The Backs declared they wouldn't lose again. That did not last long. The All-Stars handed them their A@#. The Backs will probably get one back this week as they take on the last place Knights. Not much to talk about in this one. The Knights are struggling and the Backs have no roster issues this week. Backs move to 4-3.
The Knights went up against Team Dirty week 6. Dirty got the win in a low scoring game as predicted 105.8 - 84.3. Not a lot to talk about with this one. Dirty got the win... moving on. Week 7 brings us Team Dirty against Team Kennamer. Once again Kennamer looks to have the edge but can they actually get it done? We'll see, but until then I'm taking Dirty.
Team Kennamer had Dez in week 6. Despite Dez having three 0's and Kennamer's Drew Brees scoring 40 points Dez would STILL manage to get the dub. This was the oddest game I think I've ever seen in my 16 years of fantasy football. And that's also why I took Dirty in my last pick. I think Kennamer is under some sort of curse. What else could it be? But as for Dez he got the win giving him a 3-3 record walking into Birdsville week 7 to take on the Bellringers. The Ringers are coming off a huge win, which I'll get to in a minute, but NO WAY Dez gets over .500. At least not this week. Ringers get an easy one.
The Ringers saw Team Pham in week 6 and boy was this a game. The Ringers got the dub 94.5 - 91.3. Not nearly as many points I thought would be scoredin this one. But none the less the Ringers got a solid victory here. These are two playoff teams. These kind of wins are huge for future settings. Great win by the Ringers. Unfortunately for Team Pham they see the undefeated mighty Dream Killers in week 7. This will be another great game and of course I'll be glued to the ESPN app all weekend. And of course I love the Killers match-ups. Brady will lead the Killers to 7-0.
Week 6 was a blast and I expect week 7 to be equally awesome. I hope everyone has a blessed week and I look forward to the trash talk this week! Lets hear it!
