Week 8: State of the Faction

As we enter week 8 I've seen some things I honestly did not expect. If you had told me after the draft that Tyrone (Knights) were going to be 1-6

going into week 8 I would've bet a paycheck against it. He had a great draft but the man has had the worst luck in the league relative to injuries and guys just under preforming over all. Franklin opened up the first half of the season on fire but has since been grounded a little. Then there is Dustin. Now I've been in leagues with this gentleman for over a decade and never do I recall this man being over .500 at anytime in any season at any POINT during any season. I must give props where props are do. He's playing to win. Good for Dustin. Now lets get on to the match ups.

Last week we saw Pham vs The Killers in what seemed to get off a slow start on both ends and Pham did all they could missing two key players in Olsen and Benjamin but in the end the David Johnson & The Killers continued to do what they've done all season long and that's get the dub. These two will most likely see each other again in the playoffs. But Pham is going to need to pick up the pace falling under .500 for the first time this year. And it doesn't help the Stars are coming to town this week in the same situation at 3-4 on the season. With both of these teams just under .500 at the half way point of the season I look forward to seeing how these two teams handle the pressure. One of these two will get back to .500. The other will fall two games back and be in a world of trouble at this point in the season. I like both of these two teams. I'm picking Pham to win but I honestly think this could go either way. Pham in a nail biter.

In week 7 the Stars saw VATKA in what was such a great game. The Stars would've beaten just about everyone else this week finishing with the 3rd highest points for the week. Unfortunately VATKA ranked 2nd in scoring this week. I hate those kind of loses. But It proves my point about the Stars. They are a contender and they can hang with the big dogs. You hate to lose these kind of games but you pick up the pieces and move on to the next week. VATKA on the other hand moves on to 5-2 and takes on the 1-6 Knights this week. Not much to talk about here really. VATKA should handle his business. Blow out.

The Knights saw the Silverbacks in week 7. A game that was never in question. 190.3 -53.3 And honestly it wasn't even that close. The Backs were the high scorer of the week while the Knights were the lowest points of the week. The Knights are a dumpster fire and need a miracle to stay above water. This is getting nasty. As for those Backs, they move on to Team Kennamer this week. Kennamer has managed top put together wins lately but the Backs seem to be on a mission. Of course I like to remind him of his 2nd tier status but Ol' Jeremiah is doing everything he can as usual. I'm taking big mouth in this one. Kennamer gets in a few good swings but in the end the Backs get the dub. God I gotta stop picking this guy to win... ;)

Week 7 brought us Kennamer vs Dirty and this was by far the closest game we had this week. Kennamer got the dub with a 128.3 - 126.3 score. This one was intense. I thought Dirty had it. But Kennamer pulled through and got his second win of the season. Dirty travels to Birdsville the week to take on the Bellringers. After looking over this match up it was hard to see who had the edge. I'm taking Dirty here because he does not seem to have any real bye trouble and the Ringers #1 pick is on a bye. Should be a fun match up to watch.

The Ringers had Dez in week 7. I sure had the Ringers winning this one easily. Boy was I wrong. The Ringers are struggling. Dez seems to be bringing the wood every week. He's doing everything right and staying above ground. Dez sees the Killers this week. Funny... Dez is a Cowboys fan. Killers bleed Eagles green. Cowboys vs Eagles on Sunday night football on NBC. OH!... And those Killers have Ziek Elliott. This game should be VERY interesting folks. Of course my Killers will win. And my Eagles will too. E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!!
