Week 11 is upon us and boy have things stayed the same the last few weeks. The "middle of the pack" guys are scratching and clawing to stay in this thing. A few of them lost this week and a few were able to hang on for a win. REMEMBER!!! THE TOP 6 TEAMS GO TO THE PLAYOFFS! Lets get to the games...
Our first game brought us the undefeated Killers @ the 4-5 Stars. The game was never really in question but I'll admit as the owner of the Killers I may have been a little concerned early Sunday. That was until Elliott would take over the game and put the Stars away leading the Killers to the league high score of week 10 and sealing a 10-0 record. The Stars move to 4-6 and currently sit just outside of the playoff picture in the 7 spot. The Stars see the Knights (2-8) in week 11. Do not let that record fool you. The 2-8 Knights have been in every game they've played in lately. They could possibly dampen the Stars chances of a playoff birth if they're not careful. I'm taking the Stars to win this game but it won't be easy.
The Knights saw the Ringers in week 10 and boy was this closer than Bert wanted it to be. I'm pretty sure I witnessed Tyrone celebrating an early victory dancing a jig on the back dock. (I totally just made that up). The Ringers would take the win late on Sunday and move to 5-5 on the season putting them in the 5 spot currently. The Ringers move on to see the Backs in week 11. I love this match up. This is my favorite week 11 game. The Backs are currently sitting in the 2 spot trying to hold on to a possible first round bye while the Ringers are just trying to hang on to a playoff birth. The Ringers HAVE to win this game. And for that reason I'm going against the usual and taking the Ringers. And it just so happens the Backs MVP Melvin Gordon is on a bye. I like the Ringers changes here. They need it more. Ringers in a dog fight.
The Backs saw Team Pham in week 10. I blame my Eagles for Pham losing this game. My Eagles contained Pham's Ryan and Freeman leaving those Backs to move in for a huge win. Rodgers, Gordon, and Brown would allow the Backs to put their foot on Team Pham's throat and stop any pulse from generating. Game over for Team Pham. The Backs move to 6-4 and remain in the 2 spot while Team Pham moves to 4-6 and sits in the 6 spot. 6 is safe right now but Team Pham can't lose again if they want to make a playoff run. Pham see's Dez(6-4) in week 11. Pham is in the same boat as the Ringers at this point and can NOT afford to lose any of these last few games. And for that reason I'm taking Team Pham here. They need this win and I think they get it in a close one.
Week 10 we saw Dez at Team Dirty. Dez would get an easy one this week with Dirty not setting his roster and having bye week guys in starting spots. But none the less Dez gets the win, moves to 6-4, and currently sits in the 4 spot. Team Dirty moves to 4-6 and sits in the 8 spot. Not sure why he did not do his line up. If he thinks he is out of it then let me correct him. There is only 2 game difference between the #2 team and the #8 team. That means EVERYONE from 1-8 is still in this thing with 3 games left. Hell, at that point the #9 team @ 3-7 (if they somehow manage to win out) could get a playoff birth with some help. Anything is possible with the way things are shaped so DON'T GIVE UP! Team Dirty sees VATKA(6-4) in week 11. Dirty will need to bring everything they have this week to beat VATKA this week and frankly after not doing their line up last week I'm not even sure If they still want a shot at winning this thing. I'm taking VATKA but only for that reason. Dirty just came off a season high and huge win over the Backs in week 9 so I find it hard to believe they've given up. I hope they show up and give VATKA the game of their life!
VATKA saw team Kennamer last week in what was just a good old fashion butt whoopin. Nothing else to add about that game. VATKA moves to 6-4 and holds the 3 spot while Team Kennamer moves to 3-7 and holds the 9 spot. I think Kennamer realizes hope is thin at this point and it does NOT help they see the Killers in week 11. You know I'm taking my Killers in this one for sure but Kennamer has a few guys on their team I'll be watching come Sunday. In fantasy football anything is possible.
I mentioned this early and I want to emphasize it once more. While the 6 spot will eventually become the spot everyone in the league is looking at, right now its only a spot. This league is so close that the #2 team and the #8 are only 2 games apart. With 3 games left to play anything could happen. These last three games are MUST WIN games for ALL of you ranked from #2 to #8. No one from 2-8 is safe and guaranteed anything at this point. WE ARE AT THE POINT OF MUST WIN EVERY WEEK TO SURVIVE! I'll have the championship belt back at work today to remind everyone what is at stake. See you all on the other side and have a blessed day!
