Scott's Top 50!

I've taken advantage of a few days off from my real job and put down a list of my top 50 fantasy players. It's only July 1st so things obviously may change between now and late August but for now, here's how I have it. Let's get started.

1. David Johnson RB Arizona Cardinals – Johnson had the most valuable fantasy role a player has ever had over the past 10 seasons in 2016. I believe Johnson remains in the #1 spot for a few more years barring injury.

2. Le’Veon Bell RB Pittsburgh Steelers – Like Johnson, Bell had the most valuable fantasy role a player has ever had over the past 10 seasons in 2016. Let us not forget he started the season suspended.

3. Ezekiel Elliott RB Dallas Cowboys – Elliott led the league in carries last season. With Lance Dunbar’s departure, Elliott's ceiling only gets higher.

4. Antonio Brown WR Pittsburgh Steelers – Over the past three fantasy seasons, Brown has posted the fourth-, eighth-, and 22nd-best fantasy seasons by a wide receiver all-time. He hurt me in a few games last year but he's still a top 5 fantasy pick.

5. Julio Jones WR Atlanta Falcons —With Shanahan 's departure, can Jones continue to produce high volume fantasy numbers in 2017? Maybe it's the Bammer in me but I think Julio finishes the 2017 season #1 at his position. #RTR

6. Odell Beckham Jr. WR New York Giants – No wide receiver has ever averaged as many fantasy points per game over his first three NFL seasons. The acquisitions of Brandon Marshall and Evan Engram should only benefit Beckham.

7. LeSean McCoy RB Buffalo Bills — McCoy ranked fourth in fantasy points per game in games played last season. With Mike Gillislee’s move to Foxboro, McCoy's fantasy production should flourish.

8. A.J. Green WR Cincinnati Bengals – Until his injury in week 11 last season, Green led all wide receivers in fantasy points per game. After drafting John Ross in the first round of this years NFL Draft, I expect Green's numbers to shine even brighter. That's scary my friends...

9. Melvin Gordon RB Los Angeles Chargers – Bell and Johnson were the only RB's to top Gordon’s workload last season. With little depth behind him at the position, Gordon should produce this season. The Chargers have done a lot of work on that offense this off-season especially at WR and O'line. I predict solid fantasy numbers out of a few Chargers this season. Gordon is a first round fantasy pick in my book.

10. Mike Evans WR Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Adding DeSean Jackson and O.J. Howard this off-season only benefits Evans. Let's face it... The WR core in Tampa Bay last year was not much to talk about behind Evans. Let's see his numbers when defenses have to respect others and not just focus on him. I predict an increase in fantasy points for Evans because if these off-season additions.

11. Jordy Nelson WR Green Bay Packers – After the Packers failed to make any significant upgrades to the running back position this off-season, Nelson should continue to be one of the more utilized options. But what's new? When healthy he's always been Rodgers' favorite toy.

12. Jay Ajayi RB Miami Dolphins – The Dolphins have said they want to get Ajayi more involved in the passing game. With his 2016 numbers as they were and the possibility of more targets for Ajayi, what's not to get excited about?

13. T.Y. Hilton WR Indianapolis Colts – Hilton is by far Luck’s best receiving option. Hilton will score lots of points. It's that simple.

14. Jordan Howard RB Chicago Bears – Howard along with Elliott put together one of the most impressive rookie running back seasons in recent memory in 2016. Losing your QB and your #1 WR will hurt but Howard has 2nd round value and plenty of opportunity.

15. Michael Thomas WR New Orleans Saints – With Brandin Cooks gone and a year’s experience under Thomas’ belt, it’s hard not to get excited about his upside. This dude just posted the fourth-best fantasy season by a rookie wide receiver all-time. And let us not forget... He has Drew BREEEEEEZ!!!

16. DeMarco Murray RB Tennessee Titans – Murray was awesome last season running behind that great offensive line, but recent moves to upgrade the passing game has me a little concerned. They also have Heisman trophy winning RB Derrick Henry waiting his turn.

17. Devonta Freeman RB Atlanta Falcons – I want to put Freeman much higher on this list but with the uncertainty of the offense with a new OC it's too much of an unknown. And let us not forget Tevin Coleman. High risk-high reward.

18. Dez Bryant WR Dallas Cowboys – Only Beckham has averaged more touchdowns per game over the past five seasons. With Dak having a full year on his resume Bryant's numbers should improve... but the Cowboys suck...so... (I got too much Philly in me)

19. Rob Gronkowsi TE New England Patriots — Gronk remains elite in fantasy football when healthy. Period. Again, when healthy...

20. Amari Cooper WR Oakland Raiders – The Carr/Cooper connection will be something kids imitate in the streets as my friends and I did Jerry Rice and Joe Montana. They will win and Cooper's fantasy stock will continue to rise the next few seasons. You read it here first folks.

21. Doug Baldwin WR Seattle Seahawks

22. Todd Gurley RB Los Angeles Rams

23. Alshon Jeffery WR Philadelphia Eagles

24. Marshawn Lynch RB Oakland Raiders

25. Carlos Hyde RB San Francisco 49ers

26. Lamar Miller RB Houston Texans

27. Demaryius Thomas WR Denver Broncos

28. Sammy Watkins WR Buffalo Bills

29. DeAndre Hopkins WR Houston Texans

30. Jarvis Landry WR Miami Dolphins

31. Emmanuel Sanders WR Denver Broncos

32. Jordan Reed TE Washington Redskins

33. Golden Tate WR Detroit Lions –

34. Keenan Allen WR Los Angeles Chargers

35. Joe Mixon RB Cincinnati Bengals

36. Brandin Cooks WR New England Patriots

37. Aaron Rodgers QB Green Bay Packers

38. Leonard Fournette RB Jacksonville Jaguars

39. Larry Fitzgerald WR Arizona Cardinals

40. Michael Crabtree WR Oakland Raiders

41. Isaiah Crowell RB Cleveland Browns

42. Dalvin Cook RB Minnesota Vikings

43. Christian McCaffrey RB Carolina Panthers

44. Julian Edelman WR New England Patriots

45. Mark Ingram RB New Orleans Saints

46. Eddie Lacy RB Seattle Seahawks

47. Terrelle Pryor WR Washington Redskins

48. Greg Olsen TE Carolina Panthers

49. Tom Brady QB New England Patriots

50. Allen Robinson WR Jacksonville Jaguars

I'm still currently waiting on volunteers to join me on the RZF Podcast for a standard mock draft. Please contact me soon if you're interested. Thanks for reading, God bless, and have a safe and happy 4th!
